The Team

 
David Lucatch

In addition to his leadership and guidance as President of Ortsbo Inc., Mr. Lucatch is the primary founder and is the Chief Executive Officer of publicly listed Intertainment Media Inc. (TSXV: INT / US: ITMTF / FRA: I4T)

Mr. Lucatch has spent over 25 years developing business concepts and successfully taking them to market, holding senior management posts at both private and public media and technology firms.

In addition to designing and commercializing leading edge technology and marketing solutions for consumer and commercial markets, Mr. Lucatch has developed key initiatives for many sports and entertainment organizations and independently for players and entertainment professionals.

Throughout his business career Mr. Lucatch has been an active supporter of a number of local, national and global organizations and has been recognized internationally for his service and support, leading programs in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe and the UK.

Mr. Lucatch graduated in 1985 from the University of Toronto and continues to provide his time and support to mentor both students and graduates from the university's business programs. In 2010 Mr. Lucatch was a recipient of an Arbour Award from the University of Toronto, recognizing his continued activities and contributions to U of T.

 


Gene Simmons

Rock legend, TV star, multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, writer, lecturer, and guest of financial and news programs, Gene Simmons is one of the world's most recognized personalities. With millions of fans on Twitter and Facebook and speaking FIVE languages including, English, Hebrew, Hungarian, German, some Japanese and intending to learn Mandarin, Gene Simmons is the personification of today's globally connected citizen and the ideal spokesperson for Ortsbo.

Born in Israel, an only child to his mother, a Holocaust survivor, Mr. Simmons has gone on to climb the heights of fame and international recognition.

Simmons co-founded the legendary KISS over 36 years ago. The band has sold over 100 million CDs and DVDs worldwide, and continues to sell out stadiums and arenas around the world, breaking box-office records set by Elvis and the Beatles, and boasting over 3,000 licensed / merchandise items.

In addition to performing, Mr. Simmons has his own record company, Simmons / Universal Music, a joint venture between Universal Music and Belinda Stronach. He also discovered, signed, and produced the demo for Van Halen, and has managed the music career of Liza Minnelli, among others.

Outside of his music business endeavors, Mr. Simmons expanded his artistic explorations in the areas of TV and film. He has his own realty show on A&E, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, now in its seventh year of production, making it the longest running celebrity reality show of all time. He has also completed two seasons of his other show, Gene Simmons' Rock School, for VH-1. In addition he created the show Mr. Romance for Oxygen, as well as his own cartoon, My Dad the Rock Star, for Nickelodeon's NickToons.

As an actor, Simmons has co-starred in several motion pictures, among them Runaway (TriStar), Wanted: Dead or Alive (New World), and Extract (Miramax). He also served as co-producer of New Line Films' Detroit Rock City.

Mr. Simmons is a Co-Founding Partner in Cool Springs Life.com, a venture that provides estate planning for high net worth individuals exceeding $20 Million.

Other entrepreneurial accomplishments include his own book imprint, Simmons / Phoenix books, which published his NY Times Best Seller, SEX MONEY KISS, the LA Times Best Seller, LADIES OF THE NIGHT, and the upcoming new book, GENE SIMMONS ART OF WAR and Mr. Simmons tours internationally on the lecture circuit.

Mr. Simmons graduated from New York State University (NYSU) and City University New York (CUNY) and holds a Bachelor of Education degree. After graduating, he taught sixth grade in Spanish Harlem in New York City and then became the Assistant to the Director of the Puerto Rican InterAgency Council, a government funded research and demonstration project. Early in his career, Mr. Simmons worked at Glamour and then at Vogue, as the assistant to the editor, Kate Lloyd.

 


Richard G. Abramson

With his global leadership in business and marketing, Mr. Abramson has joined Ortsbo to develop business, marketing and commercialization opportunities.

An instinctive marketer, Richard G. Abramson grew up in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Radio/Television and Film, and a Master's in Communications.

Mr. Abramson has established a varied career in marketing and motion picture and television production. He founded Aspen Promotions Inc., which became the most successful venture of its kind, directing marketing campaigns of many films for both Universal Studios and Warner Bros.

Soon after, in 1984, Mr. Abramson embarked upon sole management of the character "Pee-wee Herman." Mr. Abramson secured a deal with Warner Bros. To finance the feature film Pee-wee's Big Adventure. He co-created and produced Pee-wee's Playhouse, which became America's top-rated children's show and was nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards, winning 22. In 1983, the gross value of Pee-wee Herman's business was about $35,000. By 1989, the total soared to close to one billion dollars.

Later, Mr. Abramson developed a new method to underwrite the costs of producing and distributing motion pictures utilizing efficacy insurance policies, and put together a $350 million prints and advertising facility.

Almost ten years ago, Mr. Abramson forged a partnership with Gene Simmons and the pair formed several businesses, including Simmons Abramson Marketing, which has represented several high-profile clients, including the Indy Racing League and the Indianapolis 500.

 


Richard G. Abramson

As the head of technology for Ortsbo Inc., Mr. Hale leads all technological development for Ortsbo and provides architectural and structural advancement strategies as Ortsbo continues to gain momentum in the language, translation and social media arena.

With over 15 years in the industry, Mr. Hale brings a wealth of experience and creative talent to Ortsbo Inc. In addition to his duties with Ortsbo, he currently holds the position of President and CEO of Simplicity Computer Solutions Inc. where Mr. Hale continues to establish growth strategies to accelerate the business.

Previous to this, he held several positions with Guardian Industries, Auburn Hills, the most recent being the Global Business Systems Director where he managed technology teams globally, executed large scale initiatives and roll-outs at facilities world-wide and maximized ROI throughout the Corporation.

 


Richard G. Abramson

In addition to his duties as head of finance for Ortsbo Inc., Mr. Jonasson is Chief Financial Officer at Intertainment Media Inc. serving as the Company's senior financial officer overseeing all financial reporting and compliance activities.

Mr. Jonasson has more than 15 years of business experience. Prior to joining the Company in 2010, Mr. Jonasson was Vice President, Corporate Controller at Open Text Corporation and previously held senior finance positions at DWL Incorporated (acquired by IBM September 2005) and Perle Systems Limited. Mr. Jonasson began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP).

Mr. Jonasson is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and a US Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Western Ontario and a MBA degree from the University of Toronto.

 


Richard G. Abramson

Mr. Parry was appointed to the position of CMO of Intertainment Media Inc. in 2009 and provides leadership in all marketing and communication initiatives for the Corporation and its divisions.

Mr. Parry is a graduate of the University of Alberta and has held several senior positions within the broadcast and advertising industries working with a number of global brands. Most recently, Mr. Parry held the position of Vice President Marketing, Communications and Strategy with CanWest Media.

Mr. Parry has spent a career developing and instituting marketing and communication programs for clients and brands that add value to the top and bottom lines. Mr. Parry's and his marketing and management team ensures that the company is well positioned to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.
